The company Vysion, in collaboration with Alvysion, aimed to integrate a dashboard into their application to allow accountants to track their cases in general and easily access essential data. To meet this need, I organized and facilitated a co-design workshop, consisting of different sessions, aimed at capturing everyone's ideas. This workshop lasted 1.5 hours.
The main objective of this project was to address two central questions: "What content should be on the homepage of an accounting firm?" and "What do you need when you arrive on the platform?". Organizing a co-design workshop with accountants was the best approach to understand this significant project. We started by collectively defining the objectives of the dashboard.
The design workshop was divided into two main parts. The goal was to converge the participants' ideas progressively, moving from a general discussion to a more specific one.
The first part of the workshop included a brainstorming session, both individually and collectively, aimed at generating ideas. Afterward, we formulated problem statements from these ideas and selected the main issues through a voting process.
The second part of the workshop involved the "crazy 8" exercise, where each participant had to generate 8 ideas in 8 minutes, limiting themselves to one minute per section. The ideas were then presented to the group, and the best ideas were selected through a collective vote.
Finally, we worked together to design the ideal dashboard, taking into account the previous votes. I presented the finalized project in 1 minute and 30 seconds.
After a month of collaboration with the accounting team, the dashboard designed during this workshop was developed and is now live, thanks to the involvement of the Vysion developers.
This co-design process has successfully created a solution that meets user needs and provides the best possible experience. The dashboard, designed by me, is now fully operational and available for accountants using the Vysion application.
